The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain is at the Peace Center April 17

From Tchaikovsky to Nirvana, The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain is a funny, virtuosic, twanging, awesome, foot-stomping journey of rock-n-roll and melodious light entertainment featuring only the “bonsai guitar.”

Formed in 1985 as a bit of fun, the Ukulele Orchestra’s first gig was an instant sell-out. The ensemble has gone on to play concerts around the world, including the Sydney Opera House, The Royal Albert Hall, and Carnegie Hall. By royal request, the orchestra proudly performed at a private 90th birthday party for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle.
