Come and join us for our 8th Annual JKC Carolina Band Scholarship Golf Tournament November 1st at the Indian River Golf Club. Lunch, beer, snacks, and dinner will be provided to all registered players and guests. Sign up today to reserve your spot and honor the man who helped build the modern Carolina Marching Band. All proceeds are put toward scholarships to current and future Carolina Band members.

The tournament will honor Mr. Copenhaver’s tremendous impact in advancing music education in South Carolina and the entire nation, and for being a passionate inspiration to his many students and colleagues.
The tournament will also raise funds to match the $1 million gift Copenhaver gave in 2012 towards scholarships for the Carolina Band program. To date we have raised $80,000 towards this goal.
Copenhaver’s donation is the largest gift of its type in the School of Music’s history and is expected to generate as much as $50,000 per year for undergraduate scholarships for the Carolina Band program.
The golf tournament is the most recent addition to the annual Carolina Band alumni weekend. The weekend events include a Friday night social, a silent auction and alumni members marching with the current Carolina Band at the football game.
