William “Bill” J. Trimble is a graduate of Rowan University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. In 1991 he furthered his education by earning a Masters Degree in Music Education at The College of New Jersey, studying conducting with William Sylvester and Daniel Spaulding. His extensive training in trumpet performance includes Philly Pops Orchestra members John Thyhsen, and Don Benedetti, Philadelphia Orchestra members Louis Opaleski and Jim Hala, New York studio musician Ray Crisara and the famed Carmine Caruso.
His 40 year career as a music teacher spans three New Jersey schools, beginning as a Bandmaster at the former Admiral Farragut Academy in Pine Beach. Under his 12 year direction, the award winning Academy Band performed at Presidential arrivals, Military ceremonies and Concert Band Festivals. He continued his career at The Kings Christian School in Haddon Heights, developing and maintaining a full service K-6 music program for 11 years. Prior to relocating to South Carolina, he was the Music Director at The Wenonah School teaching classroom music K-6, directing band, chorus and musicals.
Over the course of his teaching career, he remained actively involved in the local community, having performed trumpet with the Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey, Philadelphia German Brass Band, assistant conductor with the Pitman Hobo Summer Youth Band program and member of the board of directors in the South Jersey Band and Orchestra Directors Association. In addition to his teaching and performing career, he has composed over 40 works for Elementary Concert Band, Chorus and solo trumpet.
