AnneMarie walked into 6ᵗʰ grade band with a trumpet in her hands and never wanted to leave. Then in highschool found her first true love, marching band. That love for band and the desire to always be in the magic of music sent AnneMarie to Mars Hill College to study under Dr. John Entzi as a Music Education major.
In 2018 AnneMarie excitedly became the Maitre'D of her childhood music store Separk Music. While at Separk Music she was once again surrounded by amazing musicians. AnneMarie spent her days discussing instruments, achievements, marching band shows and favorite pieces. She learned that the magic of music and the love of band aren't only shared by band directors. The instruments and music had to come from somewhere, and sombody had to fix things when they were broken. There was so much more she could do to be a part of the music education world.
After a few years, AnneMarie found herself blessed with an opportunity to train as an apprentice with Band Instrument repair technician Melody Choplin. Melody taught AnneMarie basic repair skills and the ability to better maintain instruments and serve her customers better.
Now, AnneMarie is excited to continue to spread the love of music and support those customers in Musical Innovations at Separk.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, crafts, painting her nails, and spending time with her husband and cats.
